Christening question
Did anyone make Christening arrangements before the baby was born? I am due 8/28 and I feel like I should get it together. We're thinking of doing it late November.

Re: Christening question
My isn't due until Sept. 14th and I have already been calling around to restaurants and contacted the church. Some restaurants were already booked Especially b/c it is right before the holidays alot of places have holiday parties.

Re: Christening question
I'm due in December but just this morning looked at our church website to see if they had any info on there about the way they do things. Good thing I did bc they require you to make an appt two months BEFORE the baby is even due!!! And the Godparents have to be there too I would have had no idea and probably just called after the baby was born, lol. Once I met with the church and they tell us the days and times (bc I know churches all do christening at different times of the day) I will start looking into places for after.

Re: Christening question
I will probably go ahead and talk to the church in about 2 more months when I'm 7 months. It will be a rush to baptize this baby before lent starts (my church doesn't baptize during lent)..

Re: Christening question
Yup. I booked our date - 12/13 and the baby isn't due to be born til 9/27. We are taking a class 8/6.
The class is only offered at 7:30 Pm on Thursdays so it made sense to go before he is born. Also the Godparents live in FL so I wanted to give them plenty of time to get tickets.
ETA: I haven't decided what sort of party we will have - at home or resteraunt..

Re: Christening question
DS is already here. I'm not Catholic, but DH is and we are having him Christened in the Catholic church. We went to the "class" a few weeks ago and there were a few pregnant women there who aren't due until the fall.
