Christening question WWYD?
We are having DD's Christening in our backyard. We are putting up a 20x20 tent....It will be in the middle of July. Should I put a rain date on the invitation or if it rains just have it anyway? I just remember that my bridal shower was a disaster because it was a monsoon and we were all under a tent. WWYD?

If your tents are large enough for all the tables for guests to sit at and food, then you should be okay if it does rain. You can also see if the people you are renting the tents from if they sell flooring. That way you can put under tent that way no mud.

We are having my DS's birthday party in the backyard. When I set up the tent rental I also requested the windowed sides to attach in case of rain.

Great Question!!!
If I wasnt so ridiculously stressed about DS crying today, I would have written the same post.
We are having the same issue.
We are moving in less then a month & doing major construction to new house, so we figured it be nice to have family & friends at the new house 7 do DS christening in backyard. We also renting tents.
My DH & I have been going back & forth with this, we dont know if we should include a rain date either.
So unfortunately, I have no advice, but am in the same position as you.

i had DD's christening under a tent, i didn't even think of having a raindate since most people would be coming to the ceremony anyway. we ended up with a beautiful day anyway.
How many people? we had a set up for 40 underneath our 20x20, no room for any food.

I wouldn't have a raindate. I just think it would be too much of a hassle. Then you're kinda asking people to block off 2 days for your party. I'd try some of the above suggestions (the tent walls, floor). Can you have some people inside too if need be? I hope you get great weather.

I didn't think about the 2 day thing...good point. I will definitely look into the sides for tent and a floor. Hopefully it will be a nice July
