Christenings/Communions/Confirmations??
I am doing my dd's communion next month. I know alot of people have done christenings out and I wonder if it would be cheaper to take 25 people out to lunch then to do it at home? I had both christenings in the house but there were only about 10 people at that time. I am just thinking of the food, drinks, plates, utensils, etc. AND...any recommendations?? Thanks so much!

If you're looking at next month, it will be difficult to find a place that can accommodate you on such short notice. If you don't want a private room and just want to order off the menu, there may be some places where you can go.
That said, it all depends upon where you would plan on eating - some places are very expensive to order off the menu, and a lot of places that cater to your home include all the plates, utensils, etc. Call around and check on availability of some places you would consider - that will give you a better idea.

Thanks so much, maybe I will look into that. I was looking online last night and saw that milk and sugar in Bayshore does deliver. I'll check it out!

I would think it would be cheaper at home but then you have all the prep & clean up to do. Its not like you never end up with 100 things to do when hosting something at home. The good thing is lunch out can be pretty reasonable vs a a sit down dinner. What area are you looking for a restaurant?

Around the Holbrook area. I have to say with all the bday parties I had for my dd, the one at home was the most expensive! After the food, drinks, utensils, etc., decorations, favors, etc. it could be a bundle.
