* On being hit on by men and women: "Women hit on me. My husband thinks it's so odd that so many women hit on me. Gay men too. They say to me, 'Well, I'm not straight, but if I was…' I think it's so flattering."
* On her curvy figure: "When the attention started to be about my figure, I was surprised, because it wasn't something I was focused on. And then it became very positive, and people were saying very nice things. I'm just trying to be a good actress and trying to tell a story, but if this is the sidebar, all this positivity, then that is awesome."
* On being pressured to lose weight: "I remember thinking, You're crazy! I said okay, but I didn't do it. It seems that models have gotten smaller. I was a 4, but now they're a 0 or 2. My mother never said to lose weight. Diets were never a big deal. My mom was always beautiful and voluptuous and curvy, and I always thought she was gorgeous."
* Her husband on all the attention she gets: "I remember when we first met, we went out to Korean barbecue. I was in a car, and you were walking across the street. There was this guy yelling, 'How you doin'?' And I was catcalling you, but you didn't hear me because you were getting so much attention."

In fairness they do all wear padded stuff on Mad Men - bras,butt,hips.

She is not a size 4 if that is what she is trying to say.
I have been a 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12...
She is no 4. I have no issues with her size, but still am not crazy about her looks.

I think she's saying that she was a size 4 when she modeled. She used it in the past tense. Everyone can calm down, she's not claiming to be a size 4 now.

I think the "I was a 4" was supposed to be "IT was a 4" Meaning models were that.

She has said before that she was a model & then gained weight & she prefers her size now, b/c she is curvier.

I never heard of her until about 3 months ago, when I started catching up on Season 1 of Mad Men. Then I swooned when I saw her.  I have a serious girl crush on her.
She is absolutely beautiful.
