Christmas Anxiety
This is nuts! We got a notice last friday that starting tuesday, our apaartments are being wired for some new fire alarm system, and EVERYTHING HAS TO BE OFF CLOSET FLOOR. We have 3 closets that we use for clothing & storage...one closet had all christmas gifts & wrapping stuff, etc in it...so I had to drag that all out...drag out the storage out of the other 2 also, and it is a nightmare!
on top of that, I have not finished shopping, and I am heading to NY on Saturday afternoon. I do not have any more days off of work till AFTER Christmas..
I feel so much anxiety...need to keep stuff out of closets, shop, wrap, get everything together for my week in NY, do wash, pack clothes, and wait till Sat to pack the car...
Never felt like this before!

Re: Christmas Anxiety
I can't believe you have to empty your closets now.
Take a deep breath and make a list (check it twice...LOL). Don't worry you'll get everything done!!
Good luck!!

Re: Christmas Anxiety
I cannot beleive we have to now either
My dining room table is full of stuff that I took out of the closets...so making my Christmas cookies is probably out this year...as I have nowhere to put my cooling racks!

Re: Christmas Anxiety
sigh.... I can relate.... I don't get that way about home stuff, I get that way about work.... Sometimes you just have to focus on one task at a time, so it becomes managable.....
just get the family together and have a closet clearing event.... just shove it all under the dining table and be done with it. I promise you, it will take under an hour, and will lift 50 lbs of stress off of your back.
Then, write a list of all people getting gifts, see who doesn't have one, and pick a day to finish the shopping.
Actually, having to haul all the wrapping paper out is a good thing.... easier access so the gifts can get done faster
After the wrapping is done, return it to the closet... the alarms should be in by then
nip on one small chore a day, and it will all go away.... feel better, and try to remember, the holidays are supposed to be fun! there's no sense to stress out over them. just do what you can without stressing, and nothing more
