Christmas Baby
So if I get my BFP this cycle I would be due around Christmas. At first I was going to skip the month because I always thought it would be terrible to have a birthday around Christmas, but I would hate to miss an opportunity to get a BFP so we decided to try anyway. Any thoughts on this??

Re: Christmas Baby
my nephew was due on christmas, but came a week early. he was home for christmas which was nice.
imo, it does not make sense to skip a chance to ttc b/c you are worried about your delivery date. i see what you are saying, but i would not put off what could be "your month." kwim?

ITA..... Originally I wanted to get pregnant at a specific time so I wouldn't have to be pregnant through the entire summer. Now that we're having trouble getting pregnant, I honestly do not care when I get pregnant. I just want to be pregnant, period.

Re: Christmas Baby
I'm a christmas baby (one week before) and I love having my B-day around christmas. It almost feels like everyone is decorating for you :) I would go for it and just remember to tell family that one present doesn't count for B-day and christmas!!!!

I agree, at this point I don't calculate when the baby is born, I just want a baby to be born.

Re: Christmas Baby
It would be fabulous if we could plan exactly when and how we have our kids but after months of trying, I dont care when it happens just as long as it happens.

Re: Christmas Baby
My friends bday is Dec 29th, DH's bday is Dec 31, his daughters are Jan 1 and Jan 22 - I know lots of people with bdays around the holidays (I'm Thanksgiving) and to tell you the truth - it makes holiday time even more exciting!

Re: Christmas Baby
At first thought, I was thinking I don't want to have a baby with a birthday during the holidays...but after trying for 1 month (and not getting pg), I realized I just want to have a baby. I don't care what month it is born.

Re: Christmas Baby
If you want to have a baby, try now. What difference does it really make when your child's birthday falls? You can always think of ways to make it special for him/her if this happens.
And just think, you will be in your third trimester during the fall--not a bad time at all IMO. It will be cooler, there usually isn't really heavy snow in December either, so it's not so likely you would have a blizzard going on when you deliver.
