Christmas dress-- please humor me one last time

I had settled on this one from Gymboree that I have always loved, just don't love the wrinkly-look of the duponi silk.

But then when I was cleaning out DD's closet, I found this dress that MIL had gotten for DD from Pottery Barn Kids while it was on sale a few months ago. I was going to see if I could sell it (never been worn), but then I thought "hmm...maybe this for Christmas instead of just solid red?" Chat Icon

As you can see, similar styles b/c that's what I like-- Peter Pan collar, smocking, embroidery at top. I don't dress DD in red really, if that matters.

Which do you think for my DD?

Both of the are really cute and very similar. Since you already have the PBK one, return the Gymboree one and buy something else Chat Icon

The gingham one is very pretty and since she hasn't worn it, I would totally use it for Christmas.

Re: Christmas dress-- please humor me one last time

I feel your pain, I've been debating about dresses for weeks now!!!

I like the solid red one better. They are both cute, but I'm not crazy about the gingham.

I'm sure she'll look beautiful in either!Chat Icon

I'm trying to picture your daughter in them. Although I really like the PBK one, I almost think it will be too busy.

I liked the second one better. I am all about what is realistically going to look nicest for the longest period of time. I see a small stain easily happening in the first 1/2 hour or wearing #1 (at least with my kids) I think #2 is so pretty too - it can definitely with for the holidays with a white or red sweater.

I am not crazy about the gingham. I really like the silk duponi.

I think I like the solid red one for Christmas. Maybe you could use the other one for Christmas visiting during that week?

i really like the solid red...

however, if the silk is what is bothering you, this one from hanna anderson is similar and it is cotton/cord material. just a thought:)

Chat Icon Chat Icon She is actually wearing a very dress very similar to the red smocked one. It's also from Gymboree but I got it at the factory store and haven't seen it online.

Red, silk duponi, peter pan collar, but no smocking. It has a little flower on each side of the collar, and on the bottom of the skirt is a pleated ruffle. The matching tights have the flower on them. This is for Christmas Eve.

For Christmas day, she is wearing the red cord jumper with white polka dots from gap (bought it about 5 minutes are you posted itChat Icon ). Looked more comfortable to wear for the whole day of Christmas.
