Christmas dress for sale!

Hey girls,
I got Ava's Christmas dress in the mail the other day and it's the wrong one. As luck would have it, they won't take the return because you have to send it back the next dayChat Icon Anyway, now I have this dress, which is very pretty but not what I ordered, and want to sell it. I'll post a picture later, but it's 24months, black short sleeved velvet ontop and burgundy taffeta on bottom with a big burgundy sash to tie around the waste. I paid $52 with shipping, but I honestly don't even care how much I get for it, I just don't want it to go to waste, so if you're interested in it, make me an offerChat Icon Let me go get a picture......

Here's the DRESS , only it has a short sleeve, not a 3/4 length. Scroll down to see the burgundy color.

Re: Christmas dress for sale!

Why don't you dispute the charge with your credit card company if they sent you the wrong dress?

Maybe that is an option if you can't find someone to take it....

Chat Icon I don't know why, but I find this to be very rude. I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but that's how I'm taking it. Why do you need to comment on how much the dress cost? I'm not even asking for that price. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood, whatever.

Anyway, I didn't even think to dispute it with my credit card company. I'll try that, but still, if anyone wants it, let me know.

I don't think she was trying to be rude. She was just saying that she liked the dress but that she wouldn't pay that for HER daughter. She wasn't saying anything about whether you choose to buy your daughter a beautiful expensive dress for Christmas. I think you have a definite dispute if they sent you the wrong thing, rather than if you just didn't like something once you got it. Good luck.

Re: Christmas dress for sale!

Rachel!

That is unacceptable- if I sold a dress to someone and sent them the wrong one, I would apologize, send them the correct one right away and a return prepaid box for them to ship the wrong one back! Def. dispute it with your card company if they gave you a hard time. Often, all you have to do is say you'll dispute it and they will do what you ask. Disputes are A TON of paper work and take up to 3 months to resolve. All the while the $$ is removed and held from the store's merchant account. I know from personal exp. when a customer tried to $crew me.

I don't think that's a lot AT ALL- not that anyone was asking, there are people who spend more, and people who spend less. Who the hell cares- it's no ones business. If you need help finding a particular dress let me know!

Rachel - I don't think she meant that in a mean way. I think she meant that that is a lot of money to just 'not worry' about. It is well worth fighting for if that means through the company or through your credit card. I agree that you should try to get a refund for it. The dress is beautiful and not damaged so there is no reason why they can't re-sell it.
Let me know if you want help on how to fight it with the cc. If you paid by Visa or MC you might be in the clear! Chat Icon

Re: Christmas dress for sale!

Rach, that is unacceptable and really, quite crazy! It is THEIR mistake and they must take it back. There is nothing wrong with it, they can sell it to someone that actually orders that dress. They need to send you the correct one AND pay for the shipping to send back the first one. You need to call again and speak to a higher up person. This is crazy, Ive never heard of a company with such poor customer service.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I agree.

not sure how you paid, but if its by credit card, I would put in a dispute ASAP.

this happend to me once.

got the item NOT AS SEEN online, i needed it ASAP, she didnt want to pay to RUSH one to me (COMPLETELY her error on the item),
I had even sent emails to CONFIRM things about the item, she said YES to my questions and then I got the item DIFFERENTLY.

so I disputed it AND kept the item. (I needed it, so I had to go with what I got) she refused to fix her error and KNEW It was her error.

I had tons of detailed emails with her admitting and saying "it will cost me $20 to ship it overnite, this just wont work" etc.

I had emails to back myself up. I got credited the item plus shipping, plus i kept it. she never said another syllable in dispute, she knew she was wrong.

theres NO WAY you should be stuck with it.

ETA:

rachel, one more thing.

before you dispute this, write an email to the company (documentation for your dispute Chat Icon "I am very disappointed" etc etc.

put the item on dispute NOW, but start the email trail,. you can even tell them"this is in dispute with my CC company"

Oh boy, im getting annoyed for ya! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I wasn't saying it to be rude. Why does everyone on here seem to jump on someone the minute they disagree with what was said. This is why I don't even bother posting much anymore. Way too much drama from grown up women. All I was saying is I would have loved to buy it from you for my DD but I don't have that kind of money and the way she makes a mess, I don't think I could justify spending it. I never once said that you shouldn't pay that much for your daughter..Your money your choice...

First of all, I don't think there was any drama over it. I just stated my honest reaction to what you wrote. Second of all, whatever issues you have with drama and other people, they don't have anything to do with me because I am far from the kind of person you are referring to. As I stated originally, I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but that's how I took it. I was upfront with my reaction to what you wrote to avoid drama. Also notice that I've not furthered the discussion with anyone else who cared to comment on what I wrote. All that being said, thank you for clarifying what you meant because obviously I did take it the wrong way. No drama here, just miscommunication.
