christmas gift idea..
hello!
i was wondering if anyone had ideas for toys or toys that their dc loved
my 9 yr old niece is autistic,non verbal and really does not play with toys
she likes to bounce balls, she is actually really good at dribbling lol but she has so many
she also loves katy perry,idk why just her but she loves her
last yr we got her nice headphones and a cd player with all her cds so she could listen and dance
this year i have no clue....i hate guessing,getting her toys and then her isters end up playing with it
everyone else gets her clothes...i wanna get something fun
anyone have any suggestions or even toys your kids love

My nephew is autistic and fidgets with his hands a lot. He spends a lot of time twirling yarn and pulling string apart so we got him this last year:

I don't have experience with non-verbal autism but I wanted to recommend a site at least to get ideas from - eSpecialNeeds.com. The structure of the site is great - you can browse by diagnosis, type of toy, etc. Some of the stuff is medical-intended and therefore pricey but maybe it can give you some new ideas

Probably one of the best gifts we got my DS was a small Casio keyboard. He can play around with it, it has some preset songs he can play and it's something he will most likely use for a long time.
I think most kids on the spectrum like musical toys/instruments.
