Christmas Gifts - were you a snoop??

Christmas time always brings me back to the days of snooping - actually I still do it!!

One year when I was a little older (about 14) my parents wrapped all the gifts and put them under the tree early. When they were at work, I unwrapped them to see what I got and then rewrapped them. I was (am) so pathetic!!!!!!!

Nope. I always had faith that Santa would come through - and he always did. Except the treehouse with a sprial staircase & electricity. I'm still waiting on that one.

As a child I was a snoop. Now I tell people what to get me. My grandma, my MIL and DH always ask what I want...so I tell them!

I "stumbled" on a bag full of toys when I was little while looking in my mom's closet and that is how I find out there was no such thing as santa

it was such a buzz kill

since then I have never done it

I did one year when I was a teenager, it stunk on Christmas morning when I knew what I was getting - I have never done it again.

yes! i used to unwrap things and re-wrap them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep. I used to cut the tape with a razor blade, just so the paper wouldnt rip.

Yup, I would go in the attic when no one was home to see what was there!!!

Yes! One Christmas I peeked at every single gift coming to me, and because of it, that Christmas morning wasn't exciting at all. I'm really patient with surprises now because of it.

nope my mom used to hide the presents out of the house at my granparents, so there was no point

YES! I used to unwrap gifts and then re-wrap them!! My parents never knew and it never ruined the surprise for me- even after I knew, I was so relieved to know (because I'm crazy lol) that the suspense of being able to get whatever it was and use it or wear it still made me excited LOL... So bad, it used to drive me NUTS day and night wondering what I got.

A lot of times my mom would hide gifts knowing that I can't take the suspense- So then I was fine because as long as I don't know they are there I won't wonder what they are. SO BAD! And you would think this would get better with age- WORSE!

I can't wait for b-day gifts, anniversary gifts, etc etc.

I'm the worst!

I would unwrap them then rewrap them again

I can even guess what they are bu looking/feeling.

My friend got mad last year when I looked at her gifts and told her what they were.

DH keeps all my gifts at his parents until X-Mas eve. He wraps them there and brings them over at night so I don't have a chance to snoop. I can still figure 1/2 them out just by looking.

Yup when I was little.... I would unwrap the toys carefully and tape them back up. My mom never knew!

I never did. We weren't allowed in our parents room during the holidays. And there was no way I was going to get grounded for finding out early!

DH did all the time. When he was about 12, he snooped and his parents found out. They returned everything and got him less desireable stuff. He never did it again.

YES! I would search all over the house for the gifts. Then on Christmas I would be disappointed because I snooped. I still snoop to this day...

My brother and I were terrible. We would find the wrapped presents in my parent's closet (or wherever) and we would use a razor blade to slice the tape. Then, we thought once we put it back on and retaped over the original, they would never know. I think they did.

Now, no, I'm pretty good.
