Chronic Bad Breathe

Does anyone have Chronic bad breathe. My 16 ds has it. What do you guys do. I bring him to the dentist regularly. His teeth are fine.

my dentist told me alot of people have it because of the back teeth when they arent bush after eating

I just saw something on TV, and they said that you have to scrape your tongue. Like, from all the way in the back, and not with a tooth brush. I think they sell tongue scrapers in cvs by the toothpaste. Also make sure he uses mouth wash to kill bacteria.

My brother had this years ago and as it turned out, he had an infection in his mouth and didn't know it.

Once that was taken care of, he was minty fresh Chat Icon

my old roommate used to have holitosis (sp?). No amount of brushing or gum cancure this. I believe it's all stomach based and can be corrected with diet.

It can be a bacteria in the stomach called H Pylori that can cuase this. If the odor is coming from the back of the throat even after brushing, please see a gastroenterologist to have your breath checked for this bacteria.
