Church on Christmas
What is everyone doing???
Are you getting there early to get a seat, then having DC sit in your laps for an hour and a half (I really don't think this option is going to work).
Or, getting there a few minutes before mass and leaving DC in their stroller with snacks and toys? And then hoping not to get pushed around and people coughing all over them from above.
I am *hoping* they will be entertained by all of the people around them and music so they won't feel the need to be running around, but I really don't know how to plan this! Figured I'd ask the experts here.

I think that we're winging it. We'll try to get seats but I think we're better off walking around with them b/c I don't they'll like being stuck in a pew for that long. It's beginning to stress me out, too!!

Unfortunately there is no room in our church for walking around once it starts - it gets so packed! At least at Easter the weather is warmer and you can walk around outside!
I think we're going to sit down and as long as they last, is as long as we stay.

Church is so crowded on the holidays. Don't know what we are going to do.

Re: Church on Christmas
Our mass starts at 4, so we are going to head over at 3:30, hopefully thats enough time to get a seat. If we go any earlier, they will probably flip out as soon as mass starts.

Re: Church on Christmas
The only service is at 5pm they usually are in bed by 6... I just put them down so not sure how that's going to go over.
We are getting there early. We were there today (first time in months) and well we were late because they napped late and there were was no room in the "squiggle and squirm" kids' room so we had to wait until some kids went to religious ed class. Oh, and the unpaved parking lot was a muddy mess... gross.
They normally eat dinner between 4-4:30 so I'm thinking of giving them a mini-bottle at 3:45, leaving (takes about 20 minutes+to get there) to get a parking space and seats and feeding them dinner in their stroller when we are there. They might meltdown and want to go to bed before services are over.
We are going to try but if we have to abandon the mission, I'm sure He'll understand. At least we are making the effort, we'll all get "credit" for that
