So i have posted about doing cio.. now if i do what i have read on here and dont go in to calm her at all( which is what i was leaning to anyway bc it gets her more upset) how do i handle when she wakes at 11 or12 . Do i go in once to reassure her or just let her scream to clam herself down and go back to sleep.
i apoligize for all these cio questions. But sometign has to be done especialy if we are planning on having another one soon. TIA

when I tried CIO with Matthew it made him cry even more when I went in there and didnt pick him up. But it never worked for him. We are going through this waking up at 11pm and 2:30am
I think it is teething again.

Consistency is key - whatever method you employ during the day for naps, or for when you put them down for the night, should be used whenever they wake up throughout the night. Otherwise you give them mixed signals and they get confused. Babies thrive on routine and always do better when they know what to expect, so if, at certain times you go in to soothe, but at other times you don't, it's just too confusing.
For us, Alex would only get more worked up if I went in to soothe her, so when we employed CIO, we would just let her cry, even if it was at the wee hours of the night. The worst is the first few nights, but after a few days, she started to get it, and within a week she was sleeping 11 hours a night.
