Citimini Double GT and traveling

Hello! Does anyone own a Citimini Double GT and has traveled by plane with it? I am wondering if I could check it in at the gate before I board the plane, and if not, do I need to get a bag for it to check it in with the luggage? After looking on the airlines' websites, it seems that it may be too big. Chat Icon TIA

I have a city select double and I always gate check it. I don't bother with the bag and have had no issues. We travel at least 2 or 3 times a year internationally

Does weight matter? Its 6 lbs heavier and an inch more in height.

No they don't weigh it so it will be fine.

I think it depends on the airline - someone posted on parenting recently that American has been more strict about the size/weight of strollers that can be gate checked.

I've gate checked my City Mini double (in the City Mini bag) and have had no issues.
