city People! Help me surprise my husband for his 30th!
I want to take my DH into the city for a long weekend to celebrate his 30th. Where should we stay, eat, do? We like museums-we are going to check out the Museum of $ex cause we are crazy like that. What else. We like fine dining, entertainment. Whats really fun and romantic? TIA!

I loved staying at the W Hotel.... ! : )
Do you want to see a play? there's the wax museum too... Boat cruise? may be too cold though... Comedy Club...
What type of food do you like to eat? Japanese? Italian? French? etc...
We go to Jezebel's and love it...it is Soul Food, I love their creole and DH loves their fried chicken or their catfish fritters... the place is beautiful! You can sit in swings...with fluffy pillows..they have a pianist there on weekends...
Becco has REALLY good food Le Rivage- French-YUM

Re: city People! Help me surprise my husband for his 30th!
Highly recommend the Soho Grand..I just love it! Love shopping around Soho as well.
The Boat House in Central Park...plus a nice walk in the park is great.
Check out what exhibits are at the MET or MoMa.
Union Square is a great area to walk and shop..
Pastis or Balthazar for brunch
I like Sushi Samba, Dos Caminos, Rosa Mexicano...fun restaurants. Also Japanaise is great! Buddah Bar is quite a scene for dinner/drinks. Candella is romantic.
Get some tickets for a show...Im going to see Company this weekend...looks like a lot of fun.
Timeout.com is a great source of information.

Thanks so much! I should have said his birthday is March 28th so either the weekend of the 23rd or the 30th- we love French especially him! Jezebels sounds great.
ETA: no Broadway because he is 6'4 and the seats are not comfortable fo rhim

The Wax Museum is really cool. I suggest staying either in Times Square or the Village for all the action. If you a want to stay where it's a little more quiet the Ritz has a hotel at Battery Park City that is beautiful.

Mandarin Oriental hotel if you want to go all out. They are about the same price as the Ritz but the rooms are very nice & very uniquely designed. Also their lounge has one of the best views ever. Other than a b-way show & dinner what did you have in mind? If you have never been to the Top of the Rock I would suggest getting tickets for that- the view is amazing.
ETA BIL works in Manhattan & when he stays there for weekend with his GF they also try to fit in a dinner cruise & then they hang out at the Chelsea Piers.

Top of the rock? Whats that? thank you! It is the observation deck at Rockefeller Center. You have to get tickets in advance though, because they only allow a few people up at a time. Check it out here
