City with 10 month old?
We want to go into the city next weekend, and spend the night. Where should we look for a hotel by? Any specific recs?
Also, this may sound silly, but what do you do about a taxi? What about the baby in a carseat?

Can DC fit in their infant seat? Then bring that and use it in the taxi.
As for a hotel, what do you want to do? What do you want to see? That would really make a difference as to where you'd book a hotel.

There's a Doubletree in Times Sq. that has a pool and it's very family friendly.
We took Emma to the city when she was 4 months old or so, we did Build A Bear, Central Park, Top of the Rock, Toys R Us and The Disney Store.

Check out the Marriot on 3rd Ave in the 50s. They had a good rate when my ILs were coming to town.
As for taxi, so far I've just used the infant seat. Havent figured out what you do when you're out of that...

Re: City with 10 month old?
I have only taken DS in a taxi once during a family emergency, but we did it with him in the Ergo. NYC public transportation is exempt from the seatcar law. I was extremely nervous, but it ended up fine.
