Civil War weapons and where to sell them
DH was given a bunch of swords and bayonets that date back to the Civil War. He's interested in selling a few of them. Does anyone know a dealer or antique shop that does this kind of thing? We don't want to do the Craigslist or ebay route.

I think the Coin Galleries of Oyster Bay also deal in items like that.

Call the Bladesman in Seaford. He is pretty honest & will evaluate them in the shop to tell you if they are worth anything.

just another option, if the selling route doesn't work.
My dad "inherited" a lot of WWI items from his uncle. He ended up dontaing it to the US WWI Museum

He should definitely get them appraised first and authenticated if possible; a lot of times there are reproductions out there, and a lot of places won't purchase them or give the best price unless they are aunthenticated. Good luck
