Clams, Shrimp, lobster???

Are these okay to eat while your PG? I talked to a nurse and she said shell fish was fine. Anyone hear anything different?

Shrimp and Lobster are ok b/c they are cooked. I would stay away from Clams, I think they can carry more bacteria.

I just eat Shrimp. Lobster and Flounder and stay away from the rest.

I eat shrimp all the time. Lobster not so much - but that's because the opportunity doesn't present itself. Clams never just because I don't like em.

You are allowed to have 2 servings (12 oz) of shrimp and clams a week. Lobster has more mercury so I think it is like one serving a month for this. There are certain fish that are very high in mercury that you should stay way from and they are king mackarel, tilefish, and swordfish. Actually here is a website about mercury levels in fish and pregnant women:
