Cleaning a rowenta iron...HELP
i have a rowenta iron that has some nasty stuff on it. it even got onto a pair of pants. what's the best way to clean it to get the plate clean.

My Rowenta has a setting thats a self-clean mode. I've never used it but I guess if you also have it-give it a try. Last week when I was at Fortunoffs,I did notice that there was a cleaning kit(solution) next to the Rowenta's...maybe that? See if you can order it on-line or take a ride to LI.

You can call my DH, he cleans ours. He would also suggest that you use distilled water when you are using the steam functions which may help it from getting dirty in the first place. Now we have gallons of distlled water in our home. LOVELY!

they sell a iron plate cleaning kit at Bed bath and beyond but call your local one first to save yourself a trip
