Cleaning a Vase
I had Tiger Lillies in a vase, you know the orange stuff that comes out of them (pollen or whatever it is) - well it seems to have stained the vase - any ideas how I can get it off?

I don't know if this will work, but vinigar is always a good cleaner. It's worth a shot.

Re: Cleaning a Vase
I read today to clean a vase you should put some water, and an alka seltzer tab in there, and the bubbling action will take off some of the ucky stuff and stains.

Re: Cleaning a Vase
How about a dishwasher? If it can fit, I'd try it. My mom even puts 'her good' stuff in there.

Re: Cleaning a Vase
I've heard of the vinegar treatment and the alka-seltzer. Also, a drop or 2 of amonia and hot water, and let it soak. Then use soap & water to clean it out.

Re: Cleaning a Vase
This might sound strange, but you can get tablets for cleaning false teeth - they dissolve and are great for cleaning anything, I can't remember the name of them, but they have them in CVS and they are really good.
