I use baking soda on stains...let it sit and wipe.

Vinegar and water I use for windows, walls, and toilet bowl, outside tub...

And I also use a bit of my dish detergent ( I use Method) with water and that cleans up the counters well....

Sometimes I use Methods tub and tilke cleaner as well. Its sold at Target and sometimes on sale.

Vinegar/Water, Seventh Generation, some Method products.

I saw Clorox Green Works in the store, but I haven't read up on them yet - I don't have a very good comfort level with Clorox Brand.

Green Works I've found is okay on the counters and toilet, but it doesn't do much good in the shower. The only thing I've found that really removes mildew there is bleach, but that really smells.

Any shower/tile cleaner suggestions?

an woman at my job told me if you take a rag and rip into strips and soak in bleach, ring it out and place strip on the outside of tub and let it sit for an hour. Then take off it does the same as spraying it down, with out the smell.

I've said it before, I'll say it again... Bon Ami...

it's probably what your granny used...lol. Non toxic, it's a cleanser and much cheaper.

From the website: www.bonami.com/enviroment/

A clean household is your goal, and Bon Ami believes that a clean environment should be everyone’s goal. You can be assured that Bon Ami is Earth-friendly, the result of sticking to the formula that’s kept us successful for 120 years. Our product contains no chlorine, dye or perfume, which means Bon Ami is less polluting during the manufacturing process, and less likely to harm the environment during and after use. As a result, Bon Ami is often recommended by many groups and organizations that promote non-toxic alternatives to some of today’s most commonly used household products.

I am very wary of Clorox... they do not disclose all of the ingredients in their cleaning products and do not have a good record in protecting the environment. It was a sad day when they bought Burt's BeesChat Icon

For those that FM'ed me...

Yes, we do use it, have used it for three generations.

It cleans just as good as any other cleanser out there W/O a bleachy/chemical smell... there is no smell at all... or dust that kicks up after you shake it out of the can.

It is very safe to use w/o gloves and doesn't leave a smell on your hands.

Because it doesn't scratch it can be used on the glass shower doors as well.

You can sometimes find it for 89 cents a can but it usually retails for about $1.29.

HTH.
