Cleaning Marble?
We have a bar that has a marble top. DH tried cleaning off some drink spills with glass cleaner so now there's an even bigger stain on the marble top. We haven't tried anything to clean it off - I wanted to check on here first. Any help??

Re: Cleaning Marble?
They make special cleaners for marble/granite. Our previous owners left us a bottle of "good" stuff...I don't even know the know the name of it, but we save it for rare occassions.
Bed Bath and Beyond sells bottles of marble/granite cleaner I think for $7.99 and then marble/granite polish for $9.99. They're in the cleaning section and they're the same shape as a traditional "cleaner" bottle.
The problem with the windex is that it's an ammonia based product which is very bad for marble. My bathroom has marble countertops and when I was cleaning jewelry in one of those small round countainers, it dripped out and left a ring shape in the marble.
It took a million applications of the cleaner and then the polish and a ton of "wax on, wax off" but it finally came out!
Good luck!!

Re: Cleaning Marble?
we have granite also, we were told it is ok to use Glass Plus on adaily basis, and the special cleaners like once a month or so. The Glass Plus they said is ok b/c it has no ammonia in it. We have been using it a few years now and have no stains.

I have the Daily Cleaner from BBB. I used that on the stain but it didn't help. I only tried it once though. DH stained such a large area
