Cleaning out my office and I found old clothes I had stored there.......
All sizes 4 and 6. I am a 14 or 16 now.  I stored the clothes at work when I was living in my apartment, then I got too busy to look through them. Now I need the office painted. Also, some of the stuff was totally hot and I hate to say it but I don't dress like that anymore. I am an old lady in sensible shoes now.

I could have written word for word. Size and everything. Luckily, I feel my body is still shrinking. I lost most of my PG weight but could not fit on my clothes and reached a plateau after 3 months. Still 1 size bigger but now at 6.5 months PP, I see some changes again.

Don't make the mistake I did. I donated all of my 4s & 6s out thinking never again. My favorite Ann Taylor suits...sigh..I miss them...

You just brightened my day  I have been seriously thinking of donating a lot of my clothes. I'm happy to hear there's hope.

I feel like I need to get my old clothes out of my way so I have gotten rid of some things. I may just hold onto the stash that I found today. The only goal that seems realistic right now is maybe to get to size 8 or 10, but I guess I can reassess that at some point if I feel I can get into those 4s and 6s.

This happened to me the other day. I found a STACK of Size 6 jeans at my moms house and size small and medium shirts..
LEts just say Im bigger then you at this point now.
It was heartbreaking and yet STILL didnt get me to snap out of it and think more healthy.
Im sorry, I know its sad to think back.

I am waiting to "snap out of it" as well. It's just not happening for some reason (despite having a huge CLOSET FULL of clothes that do not fit me).

I know we all long to be those thin girls of our past and while I do believe it is possible, I try to remember that my body did something amazing and instead of beating it up because it can't wear the 6's and 8's it wore a few years ago, I pat it on the back because it does so much more. Being healthy is important so I don't want to be obese, but I there was a time and place for cutesy outfits and I am in a different phase of life now
Besides, even if we do get down to those sizes again, we won't want that old stuff for a few reasons.
--it will look dated somehow even if it is "classic"
--our weight will be redistributed so the clothes won't look the same
and my fave
--after we get down to that magic size again we will feel we deserve a treat and buy new clothes

me too but i still refuse to let go of my clothes - i havent given up yet at 3 months pp - at least i can dream about wearing them again

Actually, I can't blame this all on baby. I gained weight before he came along, then lost a little just before I got pregnant. I did not gain a lot while pregnant but what I did gain is very stubborn, plus I look like I have zero muscle tone right now. It was just a huge bummer to find those clothes when I did.
