Cleaning your stovetop
How do you get rid of the burnt on grease stains without damaging the surface? We got a new stove about 7 months ago and the thing looks like hell already.
I was going to use oven cleaner but the label said not to. I don't want to use Brillo either.

Re: Cleaning your stovetop
We use the Ceramabryte and the sponge that came with the stove for cleaning. All the Ceramabryte really is is liquid car wax. Also, don't use the scrubby side of a sponge - only the soft side.
Our stove looks pretty good.

Re: Cleaning your stovetop
What type of surface do you have? I use my razor blade scraper and then the scrub sponge with Ceramabryte. Vicki is right, it really is a wax that helps coat the surface, which in time makes it easier to clean up spills that burn on.

I'm pretty sure supermarkets have it. Otherwise, I'm sure Ace Hardware, Home Depot Lowe's would have it. Maybe even Rite Aid or Duane Reade?

I buy mine at Home Depot but my mom said she has found it at Stop N Shop.
Do you have a glass top stove or one with the raised burners? If its the second one, I used to use a brillo pad and them wash it down with a sponge and warm water.
