cleansing teas?

has anyone ever used them?

how long until it begins to work?

i just bought some tea that aids in intestinal cleansing - and i am scared to drink it. i am too busy to be "CLEANSING" all day.

Re: cleansing teas?

I tried a whole cleansing system once - it had a tea, powder, and capsules.

The tea was gentle - not like you have to RUN to the bathroom.

stop & shop - in the organics section.

it is called "fasting" tea. i totally did drive by shopping - and saw that it aided in weight loss - threw it in the cart and really didnt read it until i got home.

than i read all about the cleansing and things like that. i have never done those diets that "clean" you out to help you loise weight - so now i am weary.

Re: cleansing teas?

DH and I did a whole body cleanse from GNC this weekend. I had been sick for so long and needed to do something. Mine was this green drink, which tasted surprisingly well, and his was this chalky drinks with pills, both called Whole Body Cleanse. I have serious stomach issues so I was hesitant but it has been so gentle and I actually feel better!!

Re: cleansing teas?

I bought some tea at Fairway a couple years ago that was supposed to bolster your immune system.

I spent the next 24 hours in and out of the bathroom. I finally had to buy immodium AD to couteract the effects.

But the same company makes Green Tea that I love and don't have a problem with.

I guess it all depends on your digestive system. Are there foods you stay away from because they cause you digestive problems? If not, you might be ok.

Be wary though - I just found out that coffee and tea deplete your body of iron. I already have iron problems, so I had to cut it down.
