Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor- Sorry One more question

If I buy this... do I still need to a BBT so that I can take my temperature?

Also, how many times a month do we have to POAS for the monitor? Im not sure what size pack to buy. TIAChat Icon

You can also buy a BBT to chart your temp, because that way you can confirm that you did ovulate.

It takes either 10 sticks or 20 sticks per month depending on your cycle length.

I use the CBEFM and I still temp. The CBEFM will let you know when you're peak ovualtion time is but then your temp should confirm that (there should be a drop in temp and then a spike of temp right after ovulation). Also, charting helps you post ovulation in that if your temps stay high after days ovulation there's a good chance you're pregnant.

I would buy a 30 pack. The monitor will have you use anywhere from 10 to 20 sticks. I usually stop once I get the peak but I know that the monitor will prompt you to continue sampling.

I was temping and using the CBEFM. I found that both made me feel like I was obsessing more than I should have. This month I stopped temping and it has helped tremendously with the stress.

You can do both because like PP said the CBEFM tells you when your peak is and your temperature confirms it.

For your first month you will use more sticks than any months moving forward. Normally it's about 10 sticks, but if you are a late ovulator you could go through 20 sticks. It will have you test 2 days past your first peak day (usually 2 days) but I test for the 2 peak days and stop.

Good luck!

Well, you have 2 peak days. It makes you test one day after that, I guess to make sure your surge is over?

I don't know. When it comes to the happenings of my ovaries this machine seems to be smarter than me! Chat Icon
