Clearblue smiley OPK

This is my first time ever using these, and have a question about my results for anybody more familiar.

On CD13 I got a negative with FMU and another negative when I tested again around 4:30pm after a 3hr hold. The next morning, CD14 I got a positive smiley with FMU. But when I tested again around 5pm with a 4 hr hold I got a negative. FMU of CD15 was another negative. We DTD the night of my smiley, but now wondering if we missed the surge somehow. Isn't it supposed to give you your most fertile 48 hours? This only gave me a few hours.

Do people normally get 2 days of a smiley with these tests? There's a chance I was too diluted at night even with the hold since I can't go that long without drinking (I have dehydration issues. lol). But I assumed it would still at least be positive with FMU on CD15.

I use the smileys and temp, I typically get a smile 1 or 2 days before my temps indicate O, this past month I got my smiley and O the same day...no idea how that happened, but I only test in the mornings. I am assuming that I missed it this month, but still have a couple of days left in my 2ww.

I never got 2 days of smileys but most time if I got one I never tested again. Once you know you are surging there is really no reason to keep testing.
