Re: Clogged ears

I went to the dr. for a clogged ear today, and she gave me an antibiotic for the infection and also recommended Claritin as the best medicine for clearing out fluid. Feel better!Chat Icon

Re: Clogged ears

Try Debrox. It helps with earwax removal and is sold in drugstores.

Re: Clogged ears

I had a clogged ear due to water last summer. It sounded like I was in a tin can. The ENT used a vac like thing and sucked the water right out. I was finally out of the tin can!

Thank you all for suggestions! I never knew about Claritan. The vaccuum thing I did before and it was awesome!!! I know that's the best solution but my ent is always booked. I should probably just make an appointment and wait! Chat Icon

Re: Clogged ears

Believe it or not- nasal spray. The spray reduces the inflammation around the eustacion tube, which in turn allows the tube to open, which then allows the fluid to drain.

Do NOT do ear candling..... I don't care HOW many salons tell you it's safe- it's NOT.

I bought an ear syringe (kind of like the baby snot sucker upper) and it worked!!! So just thought I'd pass that on in case anyone was in the same situation.
