clomid dose
is the amount of follicles on clomid dose dependent? or rephrased - if you ovulate on a lower dose, will increasing the dose do anything?

It increased my progesterone level but I'm not sure of the effects on the follicles..

If you ovulate on 50 mg. of Clomid, upping your dosage to 100 mg. will not change anything. The only reason for taking Clomid is to make you ovulate, it will not make more follicles or change the ovulation date. The reason for some people getting dosage changes is that they didn't ovulate on 50 mg so the Dr. will up them to 100 then 150. If you don't ovulate at 150 mg. then they would look into other options.

I actually had one follicle on the 50mg dose and four on the 100mg dose. Not sure if that was just a fluke or not.

My Dr. told me that we start on the lower dose to prevent too many follicles growing, just in case the 50mg works right of the bat.
