Clomid ladies...(TMI warning)

I got AF yesterday morning full force, but starting last night and today (I'm actually home in bed right now!) I am in so much pain from cramps and have the heaviest flow I have ever seen, that is actually scaring me. I have a call into my doctor because I'm totally freaked out.

Has anyone else had such a painful period after being on Clomid?

TIA

When I got my period last month I took clomid and didnt ovulate so I took provera as well and my period was definitely icky the first day, but after that I didnt notice much difference.

YES!-this happens to me. I normally have a very heavy AF for two full days, the regular flow. On clomid, I can't leave the house because I'm in the bathroom every hour. I spoke to my RE and regular OB\GYN and they both said this could happen--extra hormones and all...........

Re: Clomid ladies...(TMI warning)

thanks everyone! I guess everyone's different. I have never had a "painful" period before that has kept me from work. I did have a rather heavy flow with Provera when I took it in January, but not like this. It's very clotted as well. I actually just woke up again and can barely get out of bed.

I've been o'ding on midol and DH went out this morning before he went to work to get me a heating pad.

I'm waiting for a phone call back from the doctor. I also wonder if the Clomid is helping to "clean me out" given that my last AF was so light (much lighter than I expected after not getting it for 3 1/2 months.

I do hope though, that today is the only day like this.

i normally get pains like that (including nausea/vomiting, sweating, and passing out sometimes) - this is the reason i was on BCPs. Apparently i didnt grow out of this while on BCPs for years.... my doc pescribed me Naproxen Sodium - i can function again when AF is in town :)

call your doc, good luck!

if the heating pad doesnt work, try a bag of ice... that is what works for me - to be as cold as possible.
