closing at 330 today and still don't have amount for check!
Is that normal? I am freaking out because we STILL don't know how much to ask the bank to make the cashier's check for! Anyone else come down to the last few hours like this when you closed? Its SUPER annoying!

I found out that morning of as well.
It's frustrating, but you are pretty much in the mercy of everyone else.
If you don't hear anything, I would wait till 12 and call your Lawyer again. Banks do not normally stay open past 3.

Thanks...yes I am going to call again by 12. My atty is my uncle so he is keeping me updated pretty well..I'm just nervous to get to the bank before 3. and thnking omg what if they don't tell us and it doesn't happen today...would that ever be the case???

I'm sure you will know shortly. As long as you can make it to the bank just before 3pm you will be fine. then everyone else will have to wait for you to get there. Not rush, either way you would still close today, just a little later. GL!

same thing happened to me. bascially, we found out 1 hour before closing. we decided to have lunch at a place next to the bank and as soon as we got the call, we ran to get our check and went to closing. try not to worry. they will wait for you!!! good luck today. hope it's a smooth closing!

It's not a big deal. They do this all the time because they can never get the numbers right and they all have to agree.
It only took me 10 minutes to get my checks at the bank anyways. Even if they told you at 2:30pm, you would probably still have time to get the checks.

we closed at 11am and didn't have numbers until after 9. it wasn't a big deal at all.

we found out the night before (last Thursday) and it was 5K more than we anticipated. Thank God we didn't have to run around asking family members to borrow money!!! That's the only reason why I'd be worried. I'm sure you'll be fine though! Good luck!
