Closing Costs on a Co-op

Hi Id like to know if you guys can tell me what the approx closing costs were on a co-op, Im pretty close to buying one in queens

I think it depends more of the purchase price rather than it being a co-op

Closing costs on a co-op are much less than when purchasing a home because you are not paying property taxes, mortgage tax, mortgage lien, etc. We closed mid-April and our closing costs included the following:

Title Agency - $350
Management Co - $300
Appraisal - $450 (pd prior to close)
Seller - Pro-rata portion of April maintenance
Management Co - May maintenance

You will also pay any points on the mortgage if you have not already pre-paid and your attorneys fees if there are any (although, these are not really closing costs).

I don't remember the exact costs but they are no where near the costs of a house.

That is way too high! Our was prob around $2500 (not including 1 pt on our mortgage).
