Clothes situation question - need advice

As some of you may have seen in previous posts, I've bought Marron way too many clothes for the fall. That's not the issue here, as I love all of them and don't really want to return them (and alot were on clearance from last year anyway).

The issue is that I tried on some of the new stuff yesterday, and they were SWIMMING on her. I bought mostly 18-24 months figuring that they would get her through until March/April. Well, some of them were so big that I was afraid that they wouldn't even fit her by then. The arms and legs were about 2-3 inches too long. So I went last night and exchanged some of them for 12-18 months, and they fit her perfectly now. Well, I'm now afraid that she won't get much use out of them, since the temps are going back up into the 80s.

So, what would you do? Go back and get the bigger sizes again and hope she grows into them? Or keep the smaller sizes and hope she gets some use of out them before she grows?

And for BTDT moms, do you remember how much DC grew over the winter? Is it likely that she'll grow into the bigger clothes?

ps - she'll be 18 months in Oct, and 24 months in April.

TIA for the help.

I have the same exact problem with Luka's clothes. I bought some 12-18 shirts, washed them once and they have seemed to shrunk so I am just gonna by 18-24 for shirts. For pants I am gonna continue 12-18 because the 18-24 is kinda long on him and he trips on them. I tried rolling them up but they don't stay rolled. I have a feeling at this age they don't grow as fast as they use to. I think I will just buy as I need until I figure out his growth pattern.

Well it's supposed to only be 68 on Monday. I would have some 12-18 and keep some 18-24. Depending on the brand of clothes, some shrink really bad.

I have so many cute outfits for Hayley now I need it to cool down so she can wear them Chat Icon

I would keep them. I bet you'll use them. The warm weather won't last that long (at least i doubt it will.)

I would keep half and half - you will definately use the 12-18 MONTHS soon.
