Club Med Sandpiper - we're back! (w/pics)
Other than Alex's completely and totally humiliating, and almost terrifying, temper tantrums, we had a BLAST! Last year was all about dropping Alex at daycare, going back to the room, and catching up on some much needed sleep - this year was all about FUN! While Alex was going on treasure hunts, face painting and watching trapeze and circus shows, DH and I were sailing (we won second place in the sailing regatta!   ), jet skiing, water skiing, and enjoying some nice, relaxing baby-tantrum-free lunches 
The resort was better than last year - the staff was much more friendly, much more accomodating, and there were more activities. When we arrived at our room, there was a high chair, changing table, baby tub, stroller and crib, all set up for us. There were OODLES and OODLES of toddlers, so at every meal, and every turn, all I had to do was put Alex down, and she would run, play and dance with all the toddlers that were out and about.
The resort definitely isn't the most luxurious - not a 5 star by any means - the rooms need some updating, particularly the bathrooms - there's no beach, only a river, but there are plenty of water activities, and the river is quite beatufiul - the activities are plentiful, the staff is beyond accomodating and friendly, and the children have smiles on their faces 24/7. Best of all - the on-premises daycare is absolutely PHENOMENAL.

She is so cute...my goodness those eyes...how can you discipline a child with those big eyes and if they fill with tears ...ooooooooohh I couldnt!!

Port St. Lucie, Florida - it isn't on the beach, but is on the East Coast, about 20 minutes from the Ocean.

Sandpiper is only one of two resorts that take babies 4 months-2 years, so that's why we went back, but next time Alex will be over 2 years old so we're toying with the idea of going to a different resort that has daycare for 2 year olds and up... there's one reallllly nice one in Sicily, Italy
