Co-op owners re: maintenance charges

I cannot believe they have raised our maintenance AGAIN. There have been no improvements at our building nor do I think the maintenance is even worth what they are asking us to pay. Even if taxes in Queens went up...this is an insane amount. Energy costs have gone down, and we pay our own electric bills....where do they get this new figure??
I understand with tenants leaving and selling their shares back to the Board current owners have to pick up the slack in their maintenance charges, but it just seems so unfair. I am never going to be able to sell the place with these current charges! The building has no parking, no pool, no doorman...NOTHING. How do they justify this?
So, who do I call to complain? The property management? The board? Both?? I want an itemized list of where my maintenance is going. GRR!!
Sorry...needed to vent.

Re: Co-op owners re: maintenance charges

OMG OMG OMG.....just called the property management to discuss this and told him how I know of someone living 3 blocks away in a very similar co-op except they actually HAVE a pool....who is paying 30% less for his maintenance...and know what he said to me..."So move there."

Please calm me down before I scream and get fired!!

That stinks....So sorry he said that to you!! Our co-op didn't have the worst maintenance charges but I think a lot of it was BS. They had a full staff of maintenance BUT they hired landscapers, painters, lawn cutters, pool people, etc...So what did the regulars do??? Take out garbage..what else??? SO I think a lot of co-ops have wasted money. Good Luck.
