Co-sleepers, come on in and answer some questions...
Righty ho...we are having a NIGHTMARE getting Noah to sleep at the minute and he is winding up in bed with me and I had some questions for ladies who co-sleep...
1. What do you do with the baby between their bedtime and the time you go to bed? 2. Will I ever get him to sleep in his own bed again? 3. What about the covers, does the baby sleep under the covers or on top of them? 4. Do you sleep with your husband, or does he sleep somewhere else? 5. How late does your co-sleeping baby sleep in the mornings?
I don't really want him sleeping in his bad, but since I think he is jetlagged from our trip, I am giving him what he wants this week. So if sleeping with me is what he wants, sleeping with me is what he will have!!!
The one problem is that at the minute I can't get him to sleep until around midnight...and he will sleep until around 8/9 am, so any help is appreciated! Also, I have switched from a mini co-sleeper next to my bed to a full sized crib next to my bed...do you think that this might be why he doesn't want to sleep.
*deep breath* and I have only had one cup of tea this morning, I think it had extra caffeine in it!!

We Co Sleep since DD came home, it was the only way we could all get some sleep!. DH got by The First Years - Safe & Secure Co Sleeper which seemed to work. I would not suggest it unless you have a King size bed. She used it for awhile and now she just sleeps with us.

Re: Co-sleepers, come on in and answer some questions...
We have the same problem, he loves our bed, but the other night he fell out of our bed and it was a r3eal wake up call that he could get hurt sleeping with us. So 2 nights ago we did the crying it out method, I put him in his crib and let him cry for about 30 min and then he became tired and laid downa nd fell asleep with a quivering lip and all . He usually sleeps under the covers with us and rigth up against me, my hubby is all the way on the other side of the bed, and if one ot two of my daughters comes into bed we are real squished. Regardless he always ends up in bed with usby 3am and then the kids usually seep until 6:30 on school days, 7:00 on weekends. Enjoy co-sleeping it is the best memory i have with all my kids, although it can be uncomfortable and a bad habit, there is nothing like waking up all together in bed. Befire you know it he will want to be alone in his own room, some nights we have to beg my 6 year old to fall asleep in our bed with us

1. Julia usually starts to get tired around 10pm, then I go to bed with her.
2. I'm having this problem now, I want her to sleep in her crib, since we spent soooo much $$ on it, and I want my bed back. Plus I know it will get harder for us if we dont do it now!
3. Julia hates covers. Plus its so warm here now at night there is no need to use them.
4. DH sleeps with us, he would never give up his bed--lol
5. Julia loves to sleep, so her and I dont get up till around 8 or 9am.
I would take the crib out of your room and let him get use to sleeping by himself, thats what my Dr. told me (plus I dont have room for her crib in my bedroom) I'm going to start having Julia sleep in her crib next week, it should be so much fun back to sleepless nights for me again.

Re: Co-sleepers, come on in and answer some questions...
we went from full on co-sleeping to her starting in her crib and somewhere around midnight-2am she'll fuss and we'll bring her into our room. She then sleeps until about 6/6:30 when she wants a bottle (this JUST started...it WAS anywhere between 4am-5:30am) and thne goes back to sleep for anywhere between 1 1/2 hrs-3 MORE HOURS if left undisturbed or we are sleeping with her.
On night I just tried putting her in her crib and she slept for several hours...so we started from there. Now that we seem to have the sleeping through the night down, I guess I'll work on doing it in the crib all night next.....but one step at a time.
To answer your Q's: she sleeps between us (king size bed) and actually she ends up cuddling right next to me or perpendicular to me and likes her face right next to the pillow and she is on her belly (or rolls over to it). I try to cover her with just the top sheet since she only sleeps in a onesie, but mostly she's uncovered (she's ALWAYS hot). between her bedtime and ours, she's in her crib and we clean up, prepare bottles for the next day, watch tv in bed, spend time as husband and wife.
I tried CIO and DH couldn't deal....so we're going with the flow and honestly, Alyson seems to change things at her own pace and we're fine with it. I'm enjoying the sleeping in!
