Is it safe to take colace while pregnant? I"m 11 weeks and nothing seems to be helping my constipation?

yes my Dr said up to 200mg a day ( they come in 50mg and 100mg form)

yes and my doctors (GI & OB) actually just told me (because my problems have been extremely severe) that you can take MANY more than the recommended dosage and it does no harm. It acts to help your intestines absorb water which wouldnt hurt the baby.

From the beginning of my I have taken 2 pills (100 mg each) every night, i am 25 weeks now.
It's safe. Run it by your doc first though, and don't take the one with the added laxative.
