College Savings Plans
This might be jumping the gun for those of us who haven't gotten that BFP yet, but I'm curious what you ladies & DH's are thinking. I was just looking at one of my retirement funds and there was a pop-up for other savings plans and it made me think about that. Have any of you started looking into this? I know my grandparents will set up a mutual fund for our DC once we have them (they've done it with all their grandchildren, and their step-great-grandchild [who is no longer in the picture], so I would assume they'd do it for their first real great-grandchild), but I was thinking that DH and I would want to do something ourselves to start saving for college or whatever.

Re: College Savings Plans
I am not pregnant yet but this is something that both the hubby and I have been talking about.
Many banks have great savings accounts. I used to use ING Direct (Now Capital One 360) for all my savings. They had a high interest rate and it took 3 business days to get the money out. Plus it wasn't directly linked to my account so there was no temptation to pull the money out. I just had Payroll take out $100 out of every paycheck to be deposited into the account and that was it.

That's excellent, Capital One 360, I'm going to go check it out right now!!!

Re: College Savings Plans
DH's grandma started a college fund for who should be here next month. We are already adding to it. It is with her bank,
