Color processes questions?
I was going to a place in East Setauket and I really like my colorist, but I can't stand the owner of this place and I just don't want to go back and give him my hard earned $$$.
I am trying to figure out what I used to get done. My hair is brown and I would get a reddish brown look. Anyone know of a website where I can educate myself?
What do these all mean?
Single process?
First time single process?
Glaze?
Double process?
Full foil highlights?
Partial foil highlight?

Single process? just one color
First time single process? first time, one color
Glaze? it's like a wash that's put in your hair to brighten up your hair shade (May be what you get)
Double process? 2 step process, for example getting highlights and overall bleaching the hair.
Full foil highlights? full head of highlights
Partial foil highlight? only part of you hair (Usually crown) gets highlighted

Re: Color processes questions?
I think you have been getting single process with a glaze (usually they always do that--it seals in color). That one time you got I think partial foil highlights.

So you get highlights and I get a single process of 1 color?

Re: Color processes questions?
Did they color piece by piece and then wrap it in foil? That is what they do when it is highlighted. A partial is the crown and the part of your hair. A full is throughout your entire head.

I do partial foil highlights and lowlights in among for multi-dimensional. And after you highlight for a while your hair gets to be lighter in general, so the lowlights help to keep my natural color as the base.
I think you've been one color lately.
