coma-like right before period?
just curious if this happens to anyone else. Literally the day before i'm about to have my period I can't keep my eyes open and hit the couch immediately for about 2 hours during the day. If its a workday as soon as I get home i'm zonked on the couch. I don't even need a calendar anymore to track my cycle. I'ts like hitting an off switch.
just wondering if anyone else experiences this

Are you anemic? When your due for your period, you tend to become even more anemic. Try taking iron if you currently don't the week before your period is due, it may help. Talk with your gyn first if anything before taking anything.

Re: coma-like right before period?
I didn't know that about anemia right before AF...it's interesting and worth looking into. I do know that the rise in progesterone is partially responsible for the fatigue. I feel like a truck hit me and can fall asleep at the drop of a hat 5-7 days before AF. Feel better!

My gyn always checks my hemoglobin when I come for appointments. They can do a finger blood test real quick and give you the number within 2minutes. Taking iron effects everyone different, some get constipation, I actually had the opposite I think when I was taking iron it made me more regular, but yes it can change your stool (tmi)

Re: coma-like right before period?
My period is coming tomorrow and besides the fact that I am eating anything that isn't nailed down, I was an hour late for work this morning bc I shut all my alarms off and meanwhile, I was alseep by 9:15pm last night
