Commack area south of Jericho? Updated- added another question in OP

We really love the sections north of Jericho turnpike in commack- baseball section and candy section are our favorites.

Can anyone tell me about the area to the south of Jericho.

One section seems that the streets are people's names ie Bernard, Irene etc etc

How is that area?

ETA what about the area south of new highway?? North of the northern state and east of harmed road?

My friend lives behind Mayfair. Her neighborhood seems really nice. Well maintained. Nice people etc. She lives it over there.

I live just south of Vets (so also south of Jericho, in what I think is the Indian section), east of Commack Rd. Its very quiet and I can't think of anything bad to say. Feel free to ask any specific questions. I don't know much about south of Jericho and west of Commack Rd, but it seems nice as well (drive through there sometimes to bring my SS to a friends, etc). Some of the houses in that area (west of Commack Rd) seem a little smaller (smaller ranchs and capes, etc), but overall, a nice area too.

----------------------------------------------------Mayfair shopping center is not by Wicks road.
Mayfair is considered North Commack
Wicks Road is Commack South
That how it was when they had the two high schools.

Both areas are nice.

The only problem I have with the area off of Wicks Rd is that's where DH's ex lives lol. Really, its a nice area with a mix of houses - some smaller ranches and capes, high ranches, splits etc.

You are right my mistake. I'm talking about the area south of Jericho and I guess west of commack road. The area right above / near wicks road.

Re: Commack area south of Jericho?

I grew up in the Baseball section. I loved my neighborhood. Safe, quiet, lots of kids(not sure about now) Close to schools(could walk.)
