Commitment letter-closing-how long?
After you got your commitment letter; how long until you closed?

Not sure about commitment letter to closing.... its prob best to ask about how long for "in contract" to closing.... for us that took a little over 2 months (would have been a bit sooner but we were waiting on a SONYMA program to get approved and then seller's mother passed during the process so it got pushed back as well for grieving)
Contract to closing from what ive seen is usually between 30 and 60 days

We have been in contract since 9/25..
We kinda got screwed by the first mortgage company; and had to start all over again.
We are trying to get a Sonyma mortgage as well... Apparently the paperwork is being sent to Sonyma at the end of the week; and Im wondering how long it will take to get approved; and then how long it will take to close afterwards...
Im being told 2-3 weeks BUT Im not sure it will actually move that quickly..

I think the official commitment letter came a few weeks before, but i don't really remember.
we signed our contract 9/15 I think it took a week after that for them to sign before we were officially "in contract" then we closed on 11/20.

took us 3 months in total from contract to closing. the title search found the owners did not have proper co's for certain things.

we have an FHA and it was less then 2 months from that point
(FHA is supposed to take longer then traditional)
