Company Rant - Leap Frog
Just wanted to share (and vent)
My MIL got Andrew the Fridge Farm by Leapfrog and when we opened it and put it on the fridge, the horse's head and the sheep's head had such weak magnets, they just slid right off the fridge. I called the company this morning to complain thinking they would send me replacement parts because these were defective and they said all they could do was send them to me for $5 each! The toy was probably $10 total. I even spoke to a supervisor...
Ugh, just annoyed.

Huh, that's not good at all!
I was thinking about buying this toy for DS for Christmas, but I'll skip it given your experience.
I would call again--that sounds ridiculous. If it was defective, they should send you new magnets.

I am really surprised. Try returning the whole thing and get a new one. I have no problems with mine at all.

I bought this for DD for Christmas. Unless you get it on sale, the thing is usually around $22. I would exchange it for another-I hope ours works!

They have horrible customer service. I won't buy their products. My sister had a problem with them regarding an expensive (Digi) Christmas gift she ordered that was apparently delivered but not to her and since Leap Frog didn't check the "signature required" option, UPS just left it who knows where. Leap Frog was very unhelpful and told her it would be 4-8 weeks before she would get a new one. Obviously that doesn't work for Christmas.

I called them a few weeks ago b/c my DD's fridge farm stopped working. They told me to send it back to them, then they will send me a replacement.
When I've called Fisher Price on their items, they send new ones out right away. I think that's the way it should be.

That is horrible. DD has this toy and loves it! Maybe you can return it and try to get a new one - it really is a great toy -but sounds like you got a defective one.
Or you could try calling back and explaining that you were sold a defective item and would like a replacement and see if you get someone more sympathetic than the jerk you got stuck with.

I am really surprised to read this....my friend had a problem with her leapster...they took it back WITHOUT the receipt and sent her a new one...
Seems as if maybe the company is changing....that's depressing!!

Their customer service suuuucks. A while back someone had posted a 30% off friends and family coupon code for their site, so I ordered the Tag reading system and a few books.
Around a week later, I realize that I never received an order confirmation email. I called them and even though they had a record of the order they said it never went through. I asked that they place the order again with the coupon code, but they said they couldn't because it expired. Umm, how is that my fault? I waited on hold (growing more and more ticked off) for a supervisor and the girl kept coming on the line saying the supervisor wasn't available right then and they would email me about it. I declined her on that like five times because I knew I'd never get an email...finally I hung up and of course, never got one!
