Complete Bedding set or Separates? what did you do?
Are you buying a complete bedding set or separates? (sheets, bumpers, etc)
If you are buying separates are you just accenting the room with themed things like lamps and what not?

I just got fitted sheets. DH and I thought of making a crib skirt, but we really like the clean look of just having the fitted sheet. It's also a lot easier to change the sheets when you don't have a bumper on IMO!
ETA: You can also look at my album...even though I didn't have a complete bedding set, I would say the room flows pretty well  .

The first time around, I bought the whole set. I used the bumpers...the blanket I ended up using as a wall hanging...I did buy a seperate lamp that had a nightlight in it, not the one that went the set.
This time, I think I'm going to have seperates made on etsy...crib skirt, valance, maybe a crib sheet and a changing pad cover...I might do bumpers, or I might use the breathable bumpers that coordinate..
Then I will accent with lamps, etc that I find elsewhere...

I registered for the whole set but it's very expensive so if I don't get it at my shower I will most likely buy seperates

I bought coordinating sheets, comforter and bed skirt. There was a set that included a sheet, skirt and bumper, but I knew I was going to use breathable bumpers so I didn't bother with that set. I probably didn't save any money though, to be honest.

We got fitted sheets and a breathable bumper and made our crib skirt to match the cornice boxes we made for above the windows. It seemed like a waste for us to get a set, plus we never even saw a set to fit our theme.

I know it's a waste to buy the set but this being our first, I really wanted it. I'm trying to think of something creative to do with the bumper since I don't plan on putting it in the crib. The blanket I might get a stand to put it on, I have to figure this out. It really is sad that you can't actually use these things!
