Complicated Question!!! Sorry so long!!
I am a nervous nelly so I haven't posted since my BFP.
Currently I am 12 weeks, 2 days.
Now that I am approaching the end of my first trimester, I have a question hoping that a wonderful lady will have an answer to!!
At my 9 week, 1 day sono, the doctor said I was measuring 8 weeks 6 days. He said it's on track with the tentative due according to the first day of my last period.
Now that I am approaching the time when I can breathe again, I was just thinking, I know when I O'ed, which was like 18 days after the first day of my last period. Which would put me like 2 1/2 weeks earlier.
Anyway.....if you still follow.......the doctor would be right??? Or am I right??? I am confused because I am measuring on track.
Here's another little tid bit. I just went to a NT scan on Monday. I told her my tentitve due date. She said everything looked good and was able to take the proper measurements needed. Of course I was too excited and the appt. was so quick that I didn't ask her what I was measuing.
Is all this possible?
I am going to ask him on Monday, my next approintment but a little insight would be appreciated.
TIA!!!!

Re: Complicated Question!!! Sorry so long!!
the difference is only 2 days. plus that can change a lot during the course of your pregnancy.
in addition, even though you O'd on a certain day, there is no guarantee that you implanted right away.
if your NT results were good i would not worry!

Re: Complicated Question!!! Sorry so long!!
Two days is nothing to be concerned with. For this PG my last pd was 12/30/08 which according to the online calculator makes my due date 10/2/09. My first u/s put me at 10/6 or 10/8. My second u/s put me at 10/5. My obgyn is keeping the 10/8 due date. Honestly it is a estimated guess when as to when the baby will come. That is why most obgyn's let women go for two weeks after their due date when there are no complications.

Re: Complicated Question!!! Sorry so long!!
You're fine. It's all just an educated guesstimate. In theory, I was 6 days last my due date with DS. But I also know that I ovulated late the month I got pregnant and if I implanted late, then I may not have delivered late after all. I was always measuring on time, if not slightly ahead of the EDD. DS had long limbs, which always made him measure on the bigger side.

Due dates are only an estimate. So long as Baby looks well is all that matters

Re: Complicated Question!!! Sorry so long!!
I agree with PPs.
Also - if you O'ed 18 days after first day of last AF, you would only be 4 days off (not 2 1/2 weeks) since the number of weeks starts from 2wks prior to when you O'ed (typically first day of last AF based on a normal 28 day cycle).
HTH
ETA - If they tell you everything looks good during your ultrascreen - the baby should be measuring well!
