Computer experts- PLEASE HELP

I need to delete a file(program file) and re install a newer version and Im having issues.

When I try to delete the program it says " Cannot delete cgcp: fg: blah blah : acess is denied

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currenlty in use"

HUH?????????????

PLEASE I need help...

Not an expert, but if you started up the program, it may still be running in the background.

Did you go through Task Manager to see if it's running? (the specific file or the actual program)

It is not running. When I tried this only Internet explorer was on.

Where are you trying to delete it from?

The desktop or the Add/Remove Programs menu?

Did you reboot & then try it? If it's a conflict, it sounds as if a part of the program is in use.

I would try rebooting, don't execute the program & use Add/Remove programs from the Control Panel. (assuming you're using Windows. If a Mac, I'm totally in the dark about it).

WHen I had a hard time removing some adware/spyware on my computer, I googled the specific file name that was in use "+ uninstall "& it gave me instructions.

I removed from add/remove and now still nothing????????
Its basically saying its still there.

Here's a link on troubleshooting. I'm not familiar with the program you wrote. Not sure if it was a typo but Citrix is what came up.
