Condo owners-How much have you done to your unit?

We live in a condo and I was just thinking about how many upgrades people do to their houses, but how condos are usually short term living.

Anyone do anything really special their condos? Any wainscotting, crown moulding, built-in units?

Our unit already had new bathrooms and a new kitchen but I have wondered about investing money into other things since we won't live here forever.

Please share pics if possible.

We painted and got new carpet in the bedroom, but that was it. It had been completely remodeled right before we bought it (kitchen, bathroom, crown and base moulding), so since we are buying a house in a couple years we aren't putting much more $ into it.

I think it would depend if the occupants are owners or renters. If I were only renting I would do a paint job and put in an upgraded shower head, but that would be about it. If I owned the unit, I might do more to it depending upon the age of the unit and what my neighbors had done to their units.

When we had a condo, we re-painted and put down new carpet before we moved in.

our condo was only 4 years old when we moved in. All we did was put laminate wood floors on the first level, tile the kitchen floor, a total repaint, and new carpet on the 2nd floor. We are pretty much done with this place. The only thing we may replace are some home crappo light fixtures.

I put in a new bathroom and that really helped to sell it. But I think the Anderson Oak hardwoods the previous owner put in made a huge difference. I know they were a main reason why I bought and the reason the couple purchased my condo over the other one on the market with a re-done kitchen.

We have a condo and we are redoing almost everything....both bathrooms, all new interior doors, adding hi hats, new carpets upstairs, painting, new windows. The only thing we aren't doing is the kitchen because it was brand new when we purchased and the hardwood floors on the bottom level.

We are planning to stay here about 10 years so I'd rather live someplace I love then not. All the upgrades will increase the price though and help with selling. (we hope anyway Chat Icon )
