Confronting people on issues...

As a social worker I always have to confront teachers on issues that parents present to me. My biggest pet peeve is when I hear back "well the parent doesnt do this this and this..." Well tell me about it before I confront you. Ihate playing the game " if she says this then I am going to top with that". I listen to all ends at all times but why bring up irrelevent info when being confronted about a specific issue...How annoying

Happens to me a lot too. People tend to get defensive when they hear critcisim so they feel the need to defend themselves or make up excuses.
Nobody wants to accept blame it seems.
Very annoying!
