confused
This is so confusing. I went to the RE monday cycle day 11, he gave me a sono and said to keep using the opk, he predicts me ovulating in about a week.
Yesterday morning I had a smiley, called and scheduled the IUI
Went today (cycle day 13) and he said it seems odd, he saw a folicle and did the IUI but said it could have been a false positive and did bloodwork. Isnt this all very stange AND dont you normally ovulate around the time that I supposedly did???

I've been confused the last 6 months..lol.
when I was TTC my son in09, my cycles were longer..like 28-32 days. and I ovulated on the later side, like day 15,16, 17.
Now..a few years later, my cycles are shorter, like 27 / 28 days. They've been a bit weird too. I got it early in June probably from the HCG ruptured cycst. July came 3 days early, this month Im a week late.
when I went for my RMA consult in July, they did an ultrasound. I was on day 12 and already I had a 22mm follicle ready for ovulation. so ovulation was probably day 13. Which is even earlier than I thought I was O'ing.
So in that long winded explanation, I dont think its weird..everyone ovulates different times, and i think if you got your positive on day 12 and did the IUI today you have a pretty good shot.
is your dr. thinking it should have been later?

I never used OPKs with my RE. We always just went by b/w.

Did he take bloodwork on those days?
Did he tell you how big the follicle was Monday.....and today??

Thank you for all your response...last month I had a bad reaction to clomid and bfn from 1st IUI and ended up with a cyst so this month no medication. On Monday I went for a sono to see if cyst went away and it did but he did not see any follicles. Yesterday I got a smiley so I had the IUI today and blood work, the nurse called me a little while ago to tell me I did ovulate so I guess it was just fast since nothing was seen on Monday. My DH sperm was 97% mobile with a 20 million count so fingers crossed! My RE did not say how big the folicle is just that he saw it...

I've done both medicated and non-medicated. Always just went by b/w, never used OPKs. That's why you go to an RE - so you don't have to guess. Also triggered every cycle, even when unmedicated.
