confused about figuring out delivery date

I got a BFP today from an HPT (not doctor confirmed yet, so cautiously optimistic) and am trying to figure out when I would be due. One site I looked on said I was like 3.5 weeks and one said I was in the 5th week. What the heck? I'm confused.

Can someone explain this to me?

Based on your LMP you are 4 weeks pregnant. The baby is in 2 weeks of his/her development.

Pregnancy is 40 weeks based on your LMP however that can vary based on ovulation. Some ladies have a longer time between periods, later ovulation, etc... Their are many things that can go into account.

My last LMP was Nov 30. I ovulated later then I thought (i had a m/c and that was my first AF since the m/c so I dont know when exactly I do ovulate or anything because i got preggo right after my first cycle since the m/c) so my due date is 9/14. I thought it would have been 9/5 again going back on my LMP.

When the doctor does a sonogram they will be able to clearly provide you with an EDD based on the measure of the baby.

They will probably see you for a first appt anytime between 6 and 8 weeks. (I got a sono at 6 weeks 4 days)

this is a very significant date for DH and i

it may be a little off though because my cycles are a little on the long side so my guess is 11/18-11/22

when do i call the doctor?

(im a bit shocked if you can't tell)

Is that a good or bad thing??

I would say you will be having a Turkey Baby - gobble gobble (it will be around that date)

It depends on how busy your doctors office is.
If they seem to be on the busy side, I would call soon.
They usually don't see anyone until they are in/or about 8 weeks.

Give your doctors office a call. Most offices wont see you until you are in your 8th week.
